The Stan Watson Breeders Show produced excellent numbers with 355 entries being benched and with 35 auction birds the hall was to capacity. Once again thank you to all the membership for a truly magnificent effort which resulted in a successful and busy show.

Congratulations to Dennis Lomman who won Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Hen. Both  strong  hens  with  his  normals  being  notably  strong  this  year.  Congratulations  to Intermediate  breeders  George  England  and  Bob  Deverson  who  both  had  birds  in  the  top seven. The  awards  were  evenly  spread  around  this  year  with  the  ladies  prominent  at  the presentations with Sue Adams, Tracy Haskell winning Perpetual trophies and Liddy Thomas
taking  home  a  Champion.

Congratulations to all the other award winners but I think everyone was a winner with the objective of the BSSA being met to a high standard. With promotion and relegation the club has become more balanced with a more even competition and stimulation in all sections. Thank you to Wayne Bandt (Show Secretary) and Ken Harris (Chief Steward) for their contribution as they will be running the Ron Norman Show as yours truly will be interstate with the phone switched off.

Sue Adams provided the entertainment being the auctioneer and did an excellent first up effort entertaining the crowd. It’s certainly coming into a busy time with shows, auctions and the breeding season not too far away. To those fanciers entering birds in the State Selection Show all the best and let’s win the Logan Shield competition.
